Black Coral is currently looking for a skilled Junior Software Developer to join our product’s software development team.
Description:
The Junior Software Developer will contribute in modifying, enhancing, and maintaining Black Coral SoftRisk.
Skills:
The candidate applying for the software developer position should possess the following skills:
- Hands on experience with some or all of the following Microsoft technologies: .NET Framework, C#, ASP.NET, Visual Studio
- Familiarity with JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, HTML, CSS
- Demonstrable knowledge of cross-browser development and the constraints of supporting older-generation browsers
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate or Graduate Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Computer Engineering
Assets:
- Knowledge of GIS & Incident Management Systems
- N-Tier web-based architecture design principles

Description:
The Software Developer will contribute in modifying, enhancing, and maintaining Black Coral’s core suite of software products with a focus on inter-system communication.
Skills:
The candidate applying for the software developer position should possess the following skills: :
- Demonstrates solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Quality Assurance requirements and software development control and release procedures
- Hands on experience with some or all of the following Microsoft technologies: .NET Framework (2.0, 3.0, 3.5), C#, Windows Communications Framework, Visual Studio, Windows XP/Vista
- Demonstrable knowledge of advanced concepts such as threading, Client/Server, peer-to-peer (P2P), reflection, design patterns, web services (SOAP/REST), etc.
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable in a dynamic, challenging environment
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate or Graduate Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Computer Engineering
- 5+ years of experience in application and/or web-based development
Assets:
- Secure communication concepts
