SoftRisk 6.0 is a Web-based incident management tool for emergency managers that integrates mission-critical resource and mapping data needed in an emergency into one software application. The enhancements to an already powerful incident management tool include:
Darrell O'Donnell, Chief Technology Officer for Black Coral, added "Since mapping was already one of the most powerful tools in SoftRisk, many of our customers have said they want to customize their incident maps with GIS integration and this enhanced version offers that capability and more." Offered on a subscription basis, SoftRisk is delivered via the Web in the Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) business model, without the burden and up-front cost of installed enterprise programs. This makes SoftRisk 6.0 feasible and affordable for local governments and agencies. It eliminates the need for self-hosted solutions that require IT infrastructure and support, but also ensuring that data is highly secure and always available.
